Field Day at The SEED School of Miami
At Field Day for The SEED School of Miami, a five-day boarding program
for underprivileged youth, we brought an authentic taste of community
with an ice cream truck and horse demonstration by the City of Miami
Police Department, as well as spirited games between youth, teachers,
and law enforcement. From friendly water balloon battles and even a
dunk tank, the day flowed with energy, laughter, and camaraderie.
Los Angeles Police Department: SFG Wrestling Club and Boxing Program
The CPR Foundation is building champions on and off the mat through its support of the SFG Wrestling
Club and Boxing Program. Founded in 2021 by Los Angeles Police Department Senior Lead Officers
Nancy Escobar and Leo Perez, the Club fosters trust and mentorship between law enforcement and
youth in Pacoima and San Fernando Gardens, California. Through wrestling, young participants gain
confidence, resilience, and a renewed view of officers as role models. With the CPR Foundation’s
support, the Club has mentored over 250 youth.
The Foundation also supports the Boxing Program at David M. Gonzales Park in Pacoima, led by LAPD
Officer Claudio Gutierrez in partnership with Gang Reduction Youth Development (GRYD) and El Nido
Family Center. This Program instills life skills, discipline, and self-worth in youth. From reshaping the
mindset of at-risk teens, to guiding 6-8-year-olds through their first sparring matches, Officer Gutierrez
embodies the CPR Foundation’s spirit, creating safe spaces where youth and officers can positively
interact, build relationships, and thrive together.
